The suppressed decay Îb0â pÏâμ+μâ, excluding the J/Ï and Ï(2S) â μ+μâresonances, is observed for the first time with a significance of 5.5 standard deviations. The analysis is performed with proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fbâ1collected with the LHCb experiment. The Îb0â pÏâμ+μâbranching fraction is measured relative to the Îb0â J/Ï(âμ+μâ)pÏâbranching fraction givingâ¬(Îb0âpÏâμ+μâ)â¬(Îb0âJ/Ï(âμ+μâ)pÏâ)=0.044±0.012±0.007, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Abstract
This is the first observation of a b â d transition in a baryonic decay.[Figure not available: see fulltext.]I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
