This research - aims to probe the still poorly investigated sociological problems related to home health care by taking into account one specific aspect of home automation: the use of technology by elderly and disabled people to aid their active participation in social life. In this perspective, the reflections of Achille Ardigò play a leading role alongside literature on the types of social relations currently mediated by technological aids, and through research studies on two approaches: technogenarian and gerontechnology. With these tools we aim to evaluate the various regional experiences of home automation applied in Italy.

Abstract
This research - aims to probe the still poorly investigated sociological problems related to home health care by taking into account one specific aspect of home automation: the use of technology by elderly and disabled people to aid their active participation in social life. In this perspective, the reflections of Achille Ardigò play a leading role alongside literature on the types of social relations currently mediated by technological aids, and through research studies on two approaches: technogenarian and gerontechnology. With these tools we aim to evaluate the various regional experiences of home automation applied in Italy.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
