The essay tests the idea that supra- and international factors may redefine some of the criteria of political legitimization/delegitimization. Studying the work of the International Studies Conference (LoN) shows how emerges an international dimension of the process of legitimization/delegitimization in the political sphere of contemporary Europe, a dimension created along the same complementary lines worked out in national and state tradition.
