The article offers an analytical view of institutional documents, published by Quebec's Education Ministry and other institutions such as the Superior Council of Education. To size the meanings of "cityzenship", it is not only necessary to analyze the documents that dra a path leading to the reform of the curriculum, but also to study how the entire Quebecois education system is in the middle of a changing phase in which citizenship education plays a more o less defined role. The idea comes up is one of an individual capable of managing how to get through a complex world, that knowes how to read and interpret it, an individual fairly well and ever changing reality, the best expression hich characterizes the on-going process is "neo-liberalitation of education".
