Husserl’s phenomenology can be seen as presenting two different sides: on the one hand, an Aristotelian one consisting in its ontological rigidity; on the other hand, a genetic constitutive one, which entails a set of dynamic analyses disclosing a complex stratification of meaning. In any case it seems impossible to enlist Husserl – who makes an exceedingly broad use of Frege’s notion of Sinn by applying it also outside the domain of language – in the tradition of analytic philosophy. Moreover, there are evident shortcomings at the level of semantical and lexical analyses that mark the difference between Husserl’s phenomenology and authors like Saussure, Hjelmslev, Chomsky, as well as from the entire tradition of analytic philosophy. Despite these weaknesses, Husserl’s rich analyses – especially with regard to its investigations into the pre-predicative domain – puts phenomenology at the vanguard of an alternative stream of semiotic study that seeks to find a sound and grounded connection between philosophy of language, aesthetics and apophantic logic.

Abstract
Despite these weaknesses, Husserl’s rich analyses – especially with regard to its investigations into the pre-predicative domain – puts phenomenology at the vanguard of an alternative stream of semiotic study that seeks to find a sound and grounded connection between philosophy of language, aesthetics and apophantic logic.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
