Un’indagine sui livelli di integrazione degli immigrati in Puglia

The project Io, noi, voi integrazione sociale in reteprovides the context for this research aimed at sheet some lights on the level of integration of third country nationals legally residing in Apuliawho haveparticipatedtoproject activities. The information gathered through a short and simple questionnaire are the basis for the study of their socio-demographic characteristics, life and workconditions, aspirations, opinions and perceptions.The examination and measurement of the level of integration ofthe legal immigrant population that have participated to project activitiesincludes, on the one hand the analysis of the specific territorial context and the description ofthe sample divided by socio-demographic variables (gender, age, place of birth, geographical origin, marital status,education,among other variables); on the other handa first approach to the explanation of integration levels declaredby the group of immigrants interviewed in Apulia.The results of the ordinal logit modelshighlight the importance of language knowledge and social interactions with natives for integration processes in the host society
