Abstract
It was during the Principate that administrative imperial culture was established, but it is possible to identify its beginning from the second half of the I BC. This article discusses aspects of the creation of the “savoirs d’empire” in the republican age, on the basis of the results of a recent book consecrated to this subject: the education of the ruling class; the institution of specific competence for the administration of the empire; the political and cultural dynamics that contributed to the spread of a more homogenous administrative organization in the empire.File in questo prodotto:
