Introduction

This issue of “Salute e Società” introduces and puts forward a new perspective, shifting attention towards the interventional techniques and criticalities that emerge in the fabric of social relationships, in the static and resistant nature of organizational structures whilst, at the same time, focusing on the increasing ability of individuals to independently address their personal healthcare issues and to build on health.
