No mention of relations with the religious groups in the policy statements of the Governments of the XVI legislature and of the XVII legislature. In this context is the Head of State, which does not seem to see each assigned specific skills directly affect the relationship with religious groups, with the exception of limited reverbs arising from that on the national unity. Giorgio Napolitano characterized with a syntonic dialogue with the Pope, which hinges on the concept of shared joint collaboration of State and Church the common good , based on the fruitful diversity of the respective spheres of competence. It does not seem so risky to infer from the foregoing that the constant attention shown by Giorgio Napolitano, to the cooperation between the State, the Catholic Church and other religious groups, the distinction of "orders" , can find reason in the protection of national unity.
