The paper reconstructs the life, the devotion, the iconography, and in particular the presence of St. Eligius in Apulia. Saint, linked to the court and strictly connected to the world of gold, blacksmiths and especially to the horses. In Apulia, the cult, the images and the dedications spread during the Angevin Age and continue in the Aragonese time and they show a strong presence in the seventeenth and eighteenth century, due to confraternities.
