A clinical case of mixed Babesia spp., Ehrlichia spp. and Hepatozoon spp. infection in a 3,5- month-old cross-breed, female dog from Apulia (Italy) is described. Anaemia and thrombocytopenia were found as persistent findings while hypergammaglo-bulinemia and E. can is IFAT positivity were found on day 16 after referring, when the microrganisms were microscopically detected. The atypical clinical presentation and laboratory features are discussed and the importance to include infections by tick borne pathogens in the differential diagnosis of clinical cases occurring in endemic areas is stressed.
