THE INFLUENCE OF THE PHYSICAL-MECHANICAL PROPERTIES ON INSTALLATION TECHNIQUES OF EVA MONOLAYER FILMS FOR GREENHOUSES The large diffusion of the greenhouse plastic films has aroused a growing interest in their physical-mechanical properties. The fitting up of the film requires the knowledge of the mechanical properties in order to avoid permanent set of the film caused by the overcoming of the tensile strength at yield especially in the EVA monolayer films. The radiometric properties have been evaluated by means of spectrometers in the range 200-25000 nm and the mechanical properties by tensile tests. The results have permitted to define the different mechanical and radiometric properties of several EVA monolayer films in order to give correct fitting up instructions and then to avoid problems to the growers.
