- E-learning has a direct influence to the development of the Information Society, in which knowledge is the critical resource. Notwithstanding, questions concerning efficacy and efficiency of e-learning activities are still unresolved. In this paper, some issues concerning the evaluation of e-learning products and activities are addressed and a framework for the continuous estimation of quality is presented, based on well-defined quality models. The framework, that has been applied to e-learning activities in progress at the University of Bari, demonstrates the possibility to create a positive learning environment, if adequate ICT systems and technological/methodological supports are provided to the key stakeholders of the e-learning activities.

Abstract
- E-learning has a direct influence to the development of the Information Society, in which knowledge is the critical resource. Notwithstanding, questions concerning efficacy and efficiency of e-learning activities are still unresolved. In this paper, some issues concerning the evaluation of e-learning products and activities are addressed and a framework for the continuous estimation of quality is presented, based on well-defined quality models. The framework, that has been applied to e-learning activities in progress at the University of Bari, demonstrates the possibility to create a positive learning environment, if adequate ICT systems and technological/methodological supports are provided to the key stakeholders of the e-learning activities.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
