We present a few examples of problems where the struggle between the discrete and continuous conception of the physical world is more evident. The matter gives rise to several considerations of different nature, even extra- neous both to Mathematics and Physics. Abstract
We present a few examples of problems where the struggle between the discrete and continuous conception of the physical world is more evident. The matter gives rise to several considerations of different nature, even extra- neous both to Mathematics and Physics. Leaving aside a philosophic discus- sion, which is appealing but formidable, we state the most obvious, i.e. that the continuous world is too much smooth for the needs of applications.File in questo prodotto:
