Le perforazioni del retto

The Authors review the literature and, referring to their experience, examine the issue of the perforation of the rectum, an uncommon disease still burdened by high morbility and mortality. Better results in terms of outcome have been achieved through the improvement of diagnostic and surgical techniques. It seems evident the importance of the accurate selection of patients, and this makes paramount the early diagnosis and the identification of high risk patients. In selected cases it is proposable the non operative or mini-invasive - even laparoscopic - treatment.
