Il Centro Storico di Giovinazzo (Bari): un bene culturale in transizione

For a long time the chaotic development of urban centers has resulted in a loss from the 'city centers' with their former functions, and a transformation of the same by 'backbone' of the territory to taxpayers of their change. Fortunately, during the nineties many 'old towns' of South Italy showed a reversal of the trend, standing at the center of a synergy of efforts and measures which, however, sometimes being dropped from the top, are not able to start a significant process of endogenous development. This is the case of the old town of Giovinazzo in which the process of architectural recovery - started in the mid eighties - has facilitated the emergence of a phenomenon of replacement of the population and economic activities (gentrification or finishing) which, however, not yet been accompanied by a significant policy of 'translation' by the public actor, unable to guarantee the full value of the property.
