beta endorphon and naloxone were added to an extender for stallion semen in order to evaluate their effects on motility parametres after 24 and 48 h of refrigeration. results showed that beta-endorphin exerted a negative effect after 24 hof refrigeration and that naloxone acted as an antagonist reversing endorphins action. furthermore naloxone alone exerted a positive effect on sperm longevity.
