Abstract

Sensitive to land choices and their presence in the pages of Texaco (Gallimard, 1992), Patrick Chamoiseau explores the habitation of L'esclave vieil et le molosse (Gallimard, 1997) and the cachot of Un dimanche au cachot (Gallimard, 2007), proposing the "cadence" as a marker romance. The article analyzes the different types of places in these two texts made to echo with the help of pages, vegetable, mineral, animal and questions the notion of space that results. The organic look - relational, flexible, transient, in flux - is a chance for a work that has to do with memory and identity? How can we take, then, when all the faults in the testimonies appear in the form of impossibility?
