Starting from a reflection on the Christological title ὁ ἀγαπητός, as investigated by Enrico Norelli in Isaiah’s Ascension, in this article I deal with the narrative of ‘aqedah, and finally expand on the pericopes on baptism and transfiguration in the Synoptic gospels (in honor of Edmondo Lupieri). This contributes to confirm the distinction between the title ὁ ἀγαπητός and the broader definition ὁ υἱός μου/σου ὁ ἀγαπητός, strongly connected to the account of the ‘aqedah (Gen 22:2.12.16). The latter definition, actually, clearly alludes to an Isaac-Christ typology, and applies to both Jesus and and his sacrifice the soteriological and atoning value attributed to the binding of Isaac in Judaism.

Abstract
The latter definition, actually, clearly alludes to an Isaac-Christ typology, and applies to both Jesus and and his sacrifice the soteriological and atoning value attributed to the binding of Isaac in Judaism.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
