Abstract
The reintroduction of the discipline/non-discipline of civic education in the school educational offer responds to an educational need urged by the ethical challenges launched by the complex society, of which we have tried to outline the contours also through the reflections that Martha Nussbaum dedicates to the theme of citizenship in university education. The skills that a global citizen should acquire - the hidden curriculum of citizenship education - are: "the capacity for critical examination of oneself and one’s traditions ", an ability to see themselves “not simply as citizens of some local region or group but also, and above all, as human beings bound to all other human beings by ties of recognition and concern”, the capacity for narrative imagination, as well as the ability to develop reasonable thinking.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
