TESTS ON THE INFLUENCE OF THE RADIOMETRIC PROPERTIES OF INNOVATIVE PLASTIC FILMS ON THE GREENHOUSE MICROCLIMATE Object of the research was the influence of the covering materials radiometric properties on the greenhouse microclimate. Tests were carried out in field using 4 covering materials: 3 different plastic films and a glass for a period of two years. Air and soil temperature inside the covered experimental structures and the climatic parameters were measured by means of sensors and a data logger. The radiometric properties of the materials under test were measured by means of laboratory spectrophotometers in the solar and long wave IR wavelength range. The comparison of the results obtained in the field and in the laboratory tests showed that higher energetic performance were obtained with the glass and with a plastic film having radiometric properties similar to the glass properties.
