The pushing effect of assessment seems to be in- valid when the focus is the student learning pro- gression. Nowadays the research interests are mainly oriented to identify kinds and models for assess teaching-learning processes and to imple- ment a system of control.The most common as- sessment practice is aimed to gathering students’ opinion about the teaching-learning services and formative pathways.This paper reports on a first step of a research conducted with the students of the Graduate School of Education-University of Bari and it is focused on what they think and know about assessment.
