Vidimus in ordine personas intelligentes et scientificas...La mobilità studentesca degli Umiliati in Italia settentrionale nel tardo Medioevo (secc. XIII-XV)

The article aims to analyze student mobility of monks in Italy in the late Middle Ages (XIII-XV centuries), with specific attention to the case of the religious order of the Humiliati. An analysis of the order’s legal sources (General Chapter acts, the monasteries’ visitation records, law sources like statuta), of curial letters and university sources (especially the acta graduum) makes possibile to define not only a more detailed description of the presence of the Humiliati friars in the universities of northern part of Italy but also the routes of their academic mobility.
