The oral mucosa and the lips pseudomucosa may suffer from local reactive lesions of different types, which are caused by contact with highly irritant and allergenic substances. The authors examined all the cases where, dependently on the type of cause, it is possible for contact stomatitis and cheilitis to establish themselves. In this study the authors have selected, through an accurate anamnesis, the population at risk and collected a large number of personal cases.
