Wehaveretrospectivelyreviewed49Rorschachprotocolsofhomicideauthors,collectedbetween1998and2015,according to the method of SRR Rorschach Roman School, as part of the survey operations requested by the Judicial Authority for the purpose of ascertaining the ability to understand and wanting at the time of commission of the crime.As a result of the assessment, 23 subjects had been assessed as imputable, 10 with partial defect and 16 with total mind defect.The results ob- tained do not seem to be of only scientific interest, confirming the sensitivity and specificity of the Rorschach test but confirm the value of the Rorschach parameters selected for the purpose of formulating the judgment of incapacity to un- derstand and to want. In particular, the “Cognitive Quartet of Rorschach scores”, for use in psychiatric-forensics. In fact, the 70.0% threshold of R +% and F +% makes it possible, in practice, to discriminate very high among imputable and non- imputable subjects, with undoubted consequences on the practical exercise of psychology and forensic psychiatry.
