Over the last few decades, Italy has become a country of immigration, thus inverting the recent trend of its history. The country was found unprepared to face this change. Only recently, it has started to experiment new forms of acceptance and integration inspired by the concepts of multiculturalism and cultural interaction. Migration policies cannot be implemented but in the wider context of the EU; the undertaken strategies have been inadequate so far and the phenomenon still tends to be socially perceived as a deviance.

Abstract
Over the last few decades, Italy has become a country of immigration, thus inverting the recent trend of its history. The country was found unprepared to face this change. Only recently, it has started to experiment new forms of acceptance and integration inspired by the concepts of multiculturalism and cultural interaction. Migration policies cannot be implemented but in the wider context of the EU; the undertaken strategies have been inadequate so far and the phenomenon still tends to be socially perceived as a deviance.File in questo prodotto:
