Abstract

Published in 1999 by Flohic, La Naufragée inspired by the paintings of English painter J. M. W. Turner (1775-1851), author of a work that focuses on the effects of light at the expense of the narrative. On his palette, the color is the main instrument to dissolve the forms and to build atmosphere. What is its role in the pages of this text by M. Ndiaye? What are your favorite colors from ink of this writer? Can you identify similarities and differences between “récit” and illustrations in their impact with the colors? How do these choices help to challenge the notion of space and visual mechanisms of writing? The study aims to analyze these aspects of the imaginary fiction, in “presentism chromatic” also taking advantage of the fictional relationship between senses, especially sight and smell. In addition, explores these guidelines, taking into account the growing tendency in extrême contemporain to bind different arts between slanting lives of the artists and compare their products and their variations around a common subject.
