The aim of this analysis is to identify the real availability of the residual biomass, particularly lignocellulosic one and, at the same time, to make some hypothesis about starting new production chains, from biomass to diesel, on a regional scale. It has evaluated the environmental effect and the green house gas savings due to new production of diesel from biomass, according to the methodology comes from the new European Directive.
